Golden Globes-Dresses I Did Not Like

These are some of the dresses from the 66th Golden Globes that I found pretty bad. Images from style.com. This is Salma Hayek, in Bottega Veneta. I think this is such a strange choice for someone so beautiful. She is absolutely falling out of that dress.

Freida Pinto, in Christian Lacroix Haute Couture. Horrible dress in every way.

Sally Hawkins, in Angel Sanchez. I don't know if I hated the dress, but I hated the overall ensemble. Goth all the way. Plain weird.

Renée Zellweger, in Carolina Herrera. What is going on here? I usually love what Renee Zellweger wears. I was so disappointed!

Tina Fey, in Roberto Cavalli. I don't have a lot nice to say about this actress. I think she embarrassed herself in every way at the Golden Globes. The dress started it off.

Blake Lively, in Nina Ricci. Blake Lively is so cute, what is she doing in this horrible dress. The fit is awful, it does nothing for her. Neckline too low, hem line too short, shoes are horrible...the hair didn't redeem her much either.

Hayden Panettiere, in Gianfranco Ferré. Horrible dress. No shape or definition at all. She looked absolutely uncomfortable in it. It seemed to have her upper in a death grip.

Jennifer Lopez, in Marchesa. This was the most uncomfortable looking dress to me. Her entire back is showing with minimal fabric wrapped around the front. I just was worried the whole time I saw her that the tape or whatever she had holding that dress together was going to come off. A disappointment, because I have seen her wear some great gowns. I am also surprised at Marchesa. They usually make AMAZING dresses.

Golden Globes-Weird Choices

I think that I might be in a minority, but I love Angelina Jolie. More than I like Brad Pitt and that is saying something. But this dress just didn't do anything for me. I didn't hate it, but I was royally disappointed in it. I know she just had twins and she looks great, but this again isn't a red carpet dress. Her hair was pretty bad too. I usually love her fashion choices! Sad

Cameron Diaz, in Chanel Haute Couture. Another presentation that I didn't get. Despite what ever fashion critic has said the dress was not a bad color. I actually think that it has potential. But it is a weird style and her hair was awful. Exposed roots are never a good fashion risk.

Marisa Tomei, in Oscar de la Renta. This is actually a great outfit-not for the red carpet. I bet even Oscar de la Renta was cringing when he saw what she chose to wear.

Kristin Scott Thomas, in Lanvin. This dress looked ill fitted, poorly constructed and seemed like it needed to be steamed!

Beyoncé Knowles, in Elie Saab Haute Couture. Another dress that is almost good. I actually have felt that a lot from her at these award shows. I really like the necklace, and part of the dress. But she is stuffed so tightly in it that I stop breathing just looking at it. The neckline is also too low. The presentation just didn't work.

Elizabeth Banks, in J. Mendel. The thing that I didn't like the most about this was the neckline. I know it is "artistic", but not in a good way. I really liked the rest of the dress.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, in Lanvin. I know that she is edgy, but this is a little much. I keep thinking that print should be on a fleece blanket.

Debra Messing is someone that fashion critics usually love because she takes risks. I have never really liked her fashion sense. Every now and again I will like something that she wears, but this dress is not good. Dress by Vera Wang. Her hair was pulled into a huge pony, again-I don't get it.

January Jones, in Versace. All I can say is ?????

I think that it is hard for older actresses to choose what to wear to awards shows. It can be done with flying colors as proven over and over by Helen Miren. Glenn Close misses it by a mile. By Giorgio Armani. I think that this looks like something someone would wear to a holiday party, not a red carpet event.

I love America Ferrera. This dress was almost good for me. I liked the top, but the bottom seemed so stiff. Like something people would wear for a futuristic movie. Dress by Oscar de la Renta.

I didn't get this on Taraji P. Henson at all. Dress by J. Mendel.

You aren't going to believe me, but this is actually Julia Ormond. I used to love her! I haven't seen her for a long time. A little disappointed to see her in this horrible dress. Color-bad, fit-not good, style-horrible. So sad! Dress by Missoni.

Golden Globes-My favorite Dresses

I love the red carpet. It is so fun to see what everyone chooses to wear. I think I like to be shocked as much as pleased with what the celebrities choose to wear. These pictures are from style.com. I wish this pictures was just of Kate Winslet's beautiful dress. You can't really see it here. No offense Leo-but this dress was really great.

I had to post this dress. I loved the choice in Jewelry! The white dress was very beautiful, a little over done with the poof on the side. But still a great overall look. Eva Mendez.

I have to say with the exception of this year and last, Anne Hathaway is usually on my list of worst dressed. She just always seemed to almost get it, but some weird thing would be going on to ruin everything else. I loved her red dress from the Oscars last year. I think it was my favorite. I really like this dress. I think I would have liked the neck line a little higher. The volume of the bottom of the dress seems to be pulling it down with that low of a neckline, but I still really loved it.

I am actually not familiar with the actress at all. Her name is Laura Linney. I really liked the color and style of the dress. I thought it was beautiful.

I am probably the only person who liked this dress. I totally did! Her hair wasn't my favorite, but the dress was so different and fun. I actually kept thinking "I bet she loved wearing that!" It seemed so whimsical and feminine, but still with a little bit of an edge. Loved it! Cudos to Drew Barrymore.

This was possibly my favorite dress of the night. The fabric was incredible. The shape and color were perfect. It fit her like a glove. Eva Longoria is another celebrity with very good taste.

Lots of white gowns on the red carpet. Kate Beckinsale has usually got good taste at these types of events. I thought it was classic without being boring.

I loved this gown. I have seen many say that it was too old for Miley Cyrus, but I think that is just because they would have liked for her to make some weird choice. I really thought this was a beautiful gown and worked for someone 16 and someone 60. Timeless isn't a bad thing is it?

I thought this dress was very beautiful on Sandra Bullock. Even with all of the ruffles, it still managed to be sophisticated and lovely.

I don't know if I loved the dress and I did not like the shoes-But I loved the huge red bloom. I actually think that Heidi Klum pulled off the whole ensemble in a way nobody else on this planet could have (let's be honest, she could have worn and paper bag and it would have looked great).
